Lady M Charters
This weekend we sailed for Tog . Yesterday’s trip was a slow day on the grounds, after deciding to head in we switched over to Bass and it was game on! We managed 5 keepers in an hour.

4-14-18 Today we kicked off our 2018 season and we went Striper fishing. We clam fished and trolled for them, but the troll seemed to be more productive. We anchored up with clam caught a short and a few other run offs. We trolled strech 30’s and mojos. The guys finished up with a few keepers and some shorts, It was nice to be out after a long winter. We will be running a open boat Tog trip next Monday 4-23. We still have some weekend dates for Bass in May . We also have some dates open for Sea Bass too.
We are now taking reservations for the upcoming 2018 season. The boat is in the yard getting some TLC and will be ready for our first trip April 7th.
Today we ran our 6 am open boat Tog trip and we fished one drop all day, with a few wiggles around the piece. It was a pick all day long with a shot here and there. Richie and sal had the hot hands today with sal catching 16 keepers and richie had a bakers dozen (Orl) and everyone else getting a few. The current was a little strong this AM , so we used bait rigs most of the day with a few coming up on jigs around slack. We will be sailing open boat and charters out of Brooklyn till we return back to NJ on nov 15 th. I left the camera on the boat and will post pics tomorrow.

THURSDAY) This am was opening day in NY for togs and we ran an open boat. The fishing was a pick with nice quality fish coming up with short action along with some jumbo Sea Bass. The guys finished with 2 to 4 keepers a man, all fish were caught on green and asian crabs. We caught fish on bait rigs and jigs.

(friday) Today we ran another open boat Tog trip and the fishing was very tough for us. We tried several different areas and depths, it just did not matter for us. In certain areas the Sea Bass were so thick there was no way to even catch a Tog there. One spot had a few keeper Tog and shorts and were all caught on jigs, probably should’ve never left that slow death pick.
(SAT) We ran a split charter today and the fishing was much better today for us. I told the guys we are going to an area where we must sit and build up the life and that is excatly what we did. We picked and plucked away all day with a blast at the tide change. The jigs were doing better for most of the day to the South wind came up and had to go to the bait rigs. All of the fish were quality in the 3 to 6 lb class with some nice size Sea Bass too. The guys finished up with 20 ny keepers and at least another 12 nj keepers that were released.
We will be fishing in ny till nov 15th and will return to nj for opening day, our schedule is up on the open boat forum as well as our facebook page.
(SAT) This AM we had a charter for Rob and his friends for a day of Togging and the fishing was excellent. It took a few minutes to get them balled up under the boat but once they did it was non stop action to we left. I have no idea how many but it was fast fishing no time for counting when fish are chewing. We decided to try another area just to see if there was life but only picked away at a few keepers there. Everyone kept their one a man and it was C& R all day with some quality units coming up.

(sun) Today we had a charter for Pete and his friends for a day of Togging and porgys and once again the fishing was excellent. We started off on the Tog grounds and it took about ten minutesto get them going but once they started they did not stop until we pulled the hooks a few hours later. At times we had two to four on at at a time. Everyone kept their one and played C& R to we went to the porgy bottom. The first drop for porgys was not good a few small ones and some quality Sea Bass that were released, so we took a steam and found them. It was up and down porgy fishing as quick as you could pull them singles and doubles and the coolers filled up quickly.
We will be fishing this fri thru sun for tog& porgys still have room from NJ , also we will be going back to Brooklyn next monday for the NY Tog season and will return to NJ on Nov 15th for the Tog season. We still have some dates open for both locations. The tog schedule is up on our facebook page ladymcharters
The Fluke fishing is good now dont miss the bite, the season is closing soon
SAT) Today we ran our open boat Fluke trip and the fishing was good from start to finish. We had non stop action all day with keepers and shorts coming over the rails. We even had a few fish on a time, it is nice to see the fish finally wake up in August. The boy’s finished with a 8 man limit plus a few Sea Bass. Eric had 6 keepers and Ned had 5 (orl) and everyone at least there limit.

SAILING FROM HIGHLANDS NJ
(sun) This AM we had another open boat Fluke trip and couldnt wait to get back out to the grounds where we caught them. In the AM we woke up to a nice stiff breeze and there was no way we were getting to that area with that wind. We decided for option B where we would be more protected. The first drift we saw a keeper or two plus some shorts. We stuck it out there for a while with just some more shorts and keeper, it was time now to look for some better fishing but actually got worse for us. Anyway some days that is the way the sinker bounces and tomorrow is another day.
open boat this fri & sat some spots remain
THURSDAY) Today we had a charter for Willy and his family for some bottom fishing. We started off on the porgy grounds with nice ones coming up and then the cow nose rays found us. It was a good fight for the kids to the hooks broke or straighten out. The rays finally moved on and the porgys started to chew again with several singles and doubles coming up for the next two hours. The charter wanted to try for some Sea Bass now, so we hit some local wrecks and had to fight through a lot of shorts to get our keepers but we did.
(FRI) This AM we had a charter for Eric and a few friends and they wanted to try for some Tog first. We had a few on the jigs but no great shakes, we did catch a few nice Sea bass there too. The Togging was slow for us so we tried a few drifts for some Fluke managed a bunch of shorts with a keeper. The guys finished off with some porgys and they were coming up at a fast pace with some real jumbos in the mix, we also saw several short Fluke come up on the clam there.
