GOOD FLUKING

(friday) Today we ran our open Fluke trip and it was good. We had fish coming up from the first drift to the last with keepers and shorts and nice Sea Bass that were released. The wind was a little cranky today which made the seas much bigger then predicted, but the drift was still under a kt which was very fishable. We only had four anglers today and they got their Fluke limit. The plan was to make a drop for Tog after Fluking but it got too nasty so we called it a day at 12:30. We will see what the weather and possible storm does too the Fluking, this might just send them packing. We will be posting our Tog trips in the open boat section later Today, we will be sailing from Brooklyn from oct 11th to the NJ opener.

FLUKE AND MUDHOLE TRIPS

(FRI) Today we ran a open boat Fluke trip and it was picky for us. We fished the reef to start and picked at keepers and shorts with a few Sea Bass too. The fishing was not getting better so we took a ride to another area and the short life was very good with a few more keepers up to 7 lbs were boated. Everyone had a few keepers to go home with.

(SAT) This A.M we ran another open boat Fluke trip and the fishing was much better for us. We went right back where we left off and the fish were ready to play. The shorts and keepers were chewing good for about two hours then it just shut down. We went into search mode and found some more keepers up to 7.5 lbs. Ken was HH today with 6 keepers (orl) and mostly everyone else had a limit.

(SUN) Today we had a charter for Rodney and his buddies for a day of Ling and other assorted botom dwellers. The first few drops was just a pick of ling and a Cod. The third drop the Ling were home with single & double headers coming over the rail for a while. We hit a few more wrecks and got very good shots at them with a few more Cod too. The boys finished up with a bunch of Ling, five keeper Cod, a whiting , pollack and some Sea Bass. Brian also caught a nice mahi mahi to add to the cooler.

FLUKE AND SEA BASS

(sat) Today we ran our open boat Fluke trip and the fishing started off very good with nice keepers coming up. A few guys had quick limits and a few had two nice keepers and then the fish shut off like a light. We tried a few different areas but it was slow ,just a few more more shorts and some nice Sea Bass.

(sun) Todays charter this A.M was scheduled for a ling marathon but when the guys got down there they decided to go for Fluke & Sea Bass instead. We went back to the area we had good life yesterday but was greeted to a screaming current. The drift was 1.6 kts so the guys needed heavy led to hold the bottom. We could only manage some shorts there. The guys got tired of that so we tried some other areas and picked up some more shorts and a keeper. The guys decided to go for Sea bass,so we got our quick limit of some nice biscuits and also picke up some more short Fluke.

STRIPERS

4-14-18 Today we kicked off our 2018 season and we went Striper fishing. We clam fished and trolled for them, but the troll seemed to be more productive. We anchored up with clam caught a short and a few other run offs. We trolled strech 30’s and mojos. The guys finished up with a few keepers and some shorts, It was nice to be out after a long winter. We will be running a open boat Tog trip next Monday 4-23. We still have some weekend dates for Bass in May . We also have some dates open for Sea Bass too.
